Dolpo Chharka Bhot – GHT Trek leads you the hidden valley of Dolpo through beautiful high altitude scenery to the mystic lands of Dolpo. It is a challenging high altitude trek including five high passes which are more than 5,000 meters, Jungben La Pass [5,550 m], Niwas La Pass [5,120 m], Chan La Pass [5,378 m], Numa La Pass [5,309 m] and Baga la Pass [5,190 m]. These high passes offers the stunning views of mountains with pristine landscape which makes your journey more adventures and worthwhile.
In comparison to Lower Dolpo, less number of trekkers enters the heavily restricted upper Dolpo section of “Shey-Phoksundo National Park”. The main attraction of the area is the wild and adventure with pristine landscape, see yak caravans crossing the high Himalayan passes, touch the icy waters of Phoksundo Lake, and visit some of the highest settlements on earth. Geographically, it is similar to Tibetan Plateau and is generally dry, cold and sparsely vegetated. Summer season is considered as the ideal time for trekking into this area.
